NEXA Safety Protocol

To Our NeXa Family: As we plan for the reopening of NeXa, our top priority is your safety and that of our team. We are closely monitoring all CDC and WHO guidelines to safely open our studio as soon as New York City allows. This is the protocol we will be following upon reopening:

  • Appointments will be booked in advanced and pre-screening questionnaires will be handled online prior to arriving to the studio for your appointments.

  • All employees will be wearing PPE throughout their shift

  • Masks must be worn at all times when in the studio

  • There will be hand sanitizer at the front door for clients to sanitize their hands before and after sessions.

  • Touchless temperature checks are required before your session.

  • All equipment will be cleaned with medical grade sanitizer as well as UV Light Treatment to disinfect.

  • No equipment sharing.

  • To ensure 6ft distance between clients, equipment will be moved or closed off which means decreased capacity in the studio.

  • Air purifiers with HEPA medical grade filters have been placed throughout the studio.

  • Our showers and sauna area will be closed until further notice

Your cooperation is needed to be a part of the clean team:

  • Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes to the start of your session and leave promptly after your session to help us comply with disinfecting standards

  • Book your sessions in advance (preferably online, on the phone or via email).

  • Be on time

  • Stay on the equipment assigned to you

  • If you see someone not following precautions, please speak up and say something

NeXa Stands in Solidarity We have been carefully considering what our role will be in changing the culture that allows racial injustices to continue. It is apparent that there is a system of oppression affecting all Black lives and minority groups. As we have seen from the incidents of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner, Ahmaud Arbery and so many more, change in society is needed to prevent more of these terrible tragedies. We pledge to do our part to raise all people up rather than bring them down. At NeXa, we have a zero tolerance for bigotry and hatred based on race. However, we do realize that as a company we need to take a deeper look into our own practices and work to diversify our company and the Pilates industry. To that end, we have decided to offer a scholarship to a Person of Color for our teacher training program. This will make a lasting long term change that we hope will increase the visibility and voices of black lives within the Pilates community.  We have always been aware of the need to be an inclusive company but now know we must do better. We all must do our part to end racial injustices and this is the start of our continued journey.
